This week we’ll learn how to make a viking hood in honor of upcoming Ymir event.
Viking Hood Materials Needed:
1 1/4 yd 45 in wide fabric
Or
1yd 55 to 60 in wide fabric.
– polar fleece works best for your first one. It is hypo allergenic(a plus near facial skin), doesn’t fray, warm, and washes and dries in a snap.
– If you do wool or linen you will want a cotton lining and if you use wool you want to have pre washed and shrunk it)
– Faux leather or suede can be very water resistant.
A measuring tape or ruler.
Sharp scissors
Aluminum foil and painters tape if you want to make a pattern though it’s not needed.
– cheap cheat: dollar tree sells kitchen shears for a dollar that are plenty sharp for a couple of projects, before they go dull, for a dollar, they also sell aluminum foil and blue painters tape @a dollar each
Something to mark your fabric with
A needle and thread and possibly a thimble or a sewing machine.
Straight pins .
