Andras & Fuiltigherne's Workshop
| Andras and Fuiltigherne's home | Responsible SCA members are welcome to work in this shop at their own risk provided they clean up and re-organize stuff afterwards. Fully equipped wood shop, including lathe. Bring your own materials. |
Any Major Hardware Store

Capitol City Lumber
| www.capitolcitylumber.com | They stock a large selection of exotic wood & the staff there is pretty friendly. |
Flea Markets
| If you are careful and persistent, you can find some good buys on tools. |
Harbor Freight
| Locations in Durham, Fayetteville and Raleigh, NC. There is also a factory outlet store at exit 190 on I-95 just south of the SC border. www.harborfreight.com |
Harbor Freight is not known for the finest tools, but many of them are very serviceable and a good bargain. They are known for having very competitive prices. Aside from the types of tools you would find at a major hardware store, they will often have decorative metal stamps and dishing cubes. Not all stores carry the full range of products. |

Metal Fabrication Plants
| Check your Yellow Pages! | Many get their stock on hardwood pallets that they then throw away. Oak and poplar are available this way. Watch out for nails, invest in a good magnet, or you can mess up your tools! The wood may warp, so cut it down to the right size and stack properly for it to dry. |

I'm told it's great for wood turners or specialty small tools. Not so good for hardware. Has large supply of exotic woods but at high prices. |
